Volunteers
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping to ensure that Your Voice in Health and Social Care can raise the profile of issues that matter when it comes to improving our health and social care services.
We believe that everyone is unique and has something valuable to contribute, from sharing life experiences, skills and knowledge, to untapped talent and the willingness to make a real difference to society. You do not need any qualifications to volunteer with us. Just a willingness to listen and talk to a range of individuals, an open mind and a desire to raise the voice of local people.
What are we looking for?
As a YVHSC Volunteer, you can undertake as much or as little as you like from a range of specific roles. Volunteering your time should not be taxing but rewarding to benefit you and the wider community. Times can be flexible to work around you and the commitment needed may vary for different volunteering roles.
As a general rule of thumb we require a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. This is to ensure that volunteers can fully benefit from the training and learning experience provided.
