Welcome to YVHSC

Your Voice in Health and Social Care (YVHSC) is an independent organisation that gives people a voice to improve and shape services and help them get the best out of health and social care provisions.

Our local Healthwatch services

YVHSC holds the contracts for running the Healthwatch services for Healthwatch Hounslow (HWH), Healthwatch Ealing (HWE), Healthwatch Waltham Forest (HWWF) and Healthwatch Bromley (HWB). HW staff members and volunteers speak to local people about their experiences of health and social care services.

Healthwatch is to engage and involve members of the public in the commissioning of Health and social care services. Through extensive community engagement and continuous consultation with local people, health services and the local authority.

Emerging Communities

The emerging communities programme is designed to improve wellbeing and prevention through better information and advice. Emerging communities’ volunteer development program engages with growing emerging communities, in order to best identify and support their health and social care needs.

This development program allows us to access emerging communities, allowing us to have a better understanding of their key requirements. Collected information will be up to date and accurate, translated into accessible formats that clearly identify needs and concerns of each emerging community and give appropriate information as to services to access to promote greater interaction and reduce isolation.

Social Prescribing

YVHSC offer social prescribing to support local people. We aid our volunteers with the knowledge and expertise given to us by a variety of service providers. We love our volunteers and from their commitment to us, we are able to advice, help and reform your health and social care services.

Advocacy is providing support to disadvantaged groups by taking action to help them have a voice, support their rights, represent their interests and obtain the services they are entitled to. Advocacy promotes social inclusion and equality and assists people to explore their choices and options. Advocates will work to empower carers to feel more in control of their lives and will help them to develop their own advocacy skills where possible.

Lewisham Carers Information & Support

Welcome to Lewisham Carers Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Service. We are here to work with carers to ensure they receive the right support and information at the right time, enabling them to continue looking after members of their family, friends and neighbours for as long as they wish to do so.

Maternity Voices Partnership

Bromley MVP is an autonomous, multi-disciplinary advisory and action forum, which has service users at the centre. It incorporates the principles and practice of participatory co-design and co-production to ensure that the five principles of MVPs are at the core of the commissioning, monitoring and continuous improvement of maternity services.
